Applications are invited for admission to Ph.D. Programme in Philosophy, Department of Philosophy, University of Calcutta, 1, Reformatory Street, Kolkata-27. Candidates should apply in the prescribed proforma (www.caluniv.ac.in) by paying Rs. 100/- online SBI payment (https://www.onlinesbi.co) SB Collect -> payment for miscellaneous fees -> application for admission to Ph.D.). The eligible candidates will have to appear for an online oral examination, RET viva. The list of successful candidates in the RET viva will be displayed on the Notice Board of the Department. Successful Candidates will have to appear for a final interview.

The final selection for joining this programme and the allocation of the supervisors will be made on the basis of the final interview.

Those candidates who have already passed UGC / CSIR (JRF) Examinations / NET / SET / SLET / M.Phil. (Philosophy) / Teacher Fellowship or equivalent examinations need not appear at the first level of RET viva and can directly appear at the final interview.

Candidates willing to appear at the RET viva for the Ph.D programme should obtain atleast 55% and above in the M.A. examination.

• The final list of selected candidates for Ph.D. admission (provisional) will be put up latest by 18.12.2021.
