RULES, REGULATIONS & MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION TO FIRST YEAR B.A / B.Sc. / B.Com - HONOURS and GENERAL COURSES FOR THE SESSION 2016-2017

• Application is to be filled up and submitted online only. The application fee of Rs. 200.00 has to be paid online or offline at any branch of State Bank of India within two days from the date of submission of online application otherwise the application will be cancelled.
• Online application will start on and from 17th May 2016 (for both Merit list and direct admission).
• Last date of submission of online application is 10th June 2016 (applicable for all the honours courses and B.Com. general course).
• Students seeking admission to B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. Honours & B.Com.General Courses will be admitted strictly on the basis of Merit only. All the merit lists will be published on 16th June 2016. Admission, on the basis of merit list, will commence on and from 21st June 2016.
• There will be direct online admission for B.A./B.Sc. General courses and that will start on and from 21st June 2016.
• Online submission of application does not ensure guarantee of admission.
• The college authority will follow the rules and regulations published in the notification no. CSR/21/16 dated 06.05.2016 (http://www.caluniv.ac.in/news/new_csr_ba_bsc_bcom_bmus.pdf) of University of Calcutta in the process of admission
• All admission will be made on provisional basis subject to the approval of the University of Calcutta.
• Application forms of candidates who will submit forged/fake certificates or adopt fraudulent means shall be REJECTED. Further, such candidates shall be debarred from applying in any subsequent courses of the college. In such cases online registration fees and admission fees will not be refunded under any circumstances.
• The college authority reserves the right to cancel/refuse admission at any point of time if it is found that:
  
  • Minimum eligibility requirements are not fulfilled.
  • False documentation has been done, or, facts have been suppressed.
  • Any other similar valid reason.
• Marks obtained in Environmental studies as a compulsory subject at the H.S. (10+2) Examination conducted by the West Bengal Council of H.S. Education or its equivalent examination should not be considered for calculating the aggregate marks in top four subjects for the purpose of admission at the degree course of studies under this University (vide Circular no. C.S./1491/07, dt. 04.06.07 issued by the Secretary, Councils for U.G. Studies, C.U.). If Environmental Science is studied as an elective subject of 100 marks, it may be taken into account for determining aggregate marks.
• The applicants from other than WBCHSE, CBSE, and ISC board may apply but at the time of admission they must produce authentication certificate from the board in original, failing which admission will be cancelled.
• A candidate can apply for any number of courses for which he/she is eligible.
• There is provision of admission under Sports quota as per norms. The concerned candidate must produce necessary certificate from the head of the institution last attended at the time of admission. Otherwise the admission will be cancelled.
• Reservation of seats for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PH will be maintained as per CU rules.
