Eligibility Criteria

Any candidate who has passed B.A. (Hons.) Examination in English and Political Science with 40% marks in aggregate is eligible to apply to the M.A. Programme. Students, likely to complete B.A. Part-III (Hons.) Examination in English and Political Science by June 30, 2015, are also eligible to apply. Their admission will be provisional subject to satisfying minimum eligibility criterion by August 31, 2015.

Selection will be on the basis of an entrance test for English and merit list for Political Science.

All the candidates applying for English must note that 40% weightage will be given to the total marks scored in Part I and Part II Honours examination only and 60% weightage will be given on the marks scored in entrance examination.

For candidates applying for Political Science the merit list will be based on the total marks scored in Part I and Part II Hons. examination only.

The candidates found eligible through entrance test for English or merit list for Political Science will be admitted on the basis of counselling. The list of finally selected candidates will be published in the College web-site and departmental notice board.
