| General | (i) 55% marks in Aggregate or (ii) 50% in Aggregate with 60% in the Subject |
| SC / ST / OBC-A / OBC-B | (i) 50% marks in aggregate or (ii) 45% marks in the aggregate with 60% in the subject |

Candidates who h ave passed WBHSE or Equivalent in the years 2016. However, Candidates who passed HS or equivalent in 2015 and 2014 may also apply.
In case of applicants who have passed in 2015 or 2014 5% of marks form the aggregate will be deducted during the process of merit list preparation.
One candidate can apply in maximum of three Honours courses and one General Course
