Subject Combination 2016
The College provides different courses of Study
The Course leading to the B.A / B.Sc. / B.Com degree is meant for those who have passed the H.S. or equivalent examination approved and scheduled by the University of Burdwan.
- Examination for the three year Degree Course (Honours as well as General) is conducted in 3 parts i.e. Part - I, Part - II and Part - III by the University of Burdwan. Part -I Examination is held at the end of the first year of studies, Part - II Examination at the end of the Second year and Part - III Examination at the end of the Third Year of studies.
- For B.A. / B.Sc. General Course there are 3 Elective Subjects consisting of 4 papers each. Each paper carries 100 marks.
- For B.Com (General) course there are three groups, each group consisting of three subjects of 100 marks each at Part - I and 600 marks consisting of six subjects of 100 marks each at Part - II and 300 marks consisting of three subjects of 100 marks each at Part - III.
- B.A. / B.Sc. Honours students will have to study eight Honours papers of 100 marks each and two combination subjects, each subject consisting of three papers and each paper carrying 100 marks.
- B.A. / B.Sc. / B.Com. Students (both Honours & General) will have to study compulsory Bengali / Hindi, Compulsory English and Environmental Studies of 100 marks each.

EGR GROUP - I
Shall consist of three papers, namely :
- Economic Principles & Indian Economic Problems.
- Entrepreneurship Development & Business Communication.
- Business Regulatory Frameworks
BGR GROUP - II
Shall consist of three papers, namely :
- Management Theory
- Accounting Theory and Auditing
- Business Environment and Business Ethics
3 Years B.A. / B.Sc. (General students have to take up three elective subjects from the following :
B.A. (General) : Bengali or Hindi, English or Sanskrit, Economics, Philosophy, Political Science or Geography & History or Mathematics, Education (Proposed).
B.Sc. (General) : Physics, Geography Chemistry, Mathematics & Economics, Computer Science, Zoology, Botany.
Three year B. Com (General) : Students have to take up all the following three groups.
EGR - 1 :
- Economic Principles & Indian Economic Problems.
- Entrepreneurship Development & Business Communication.
- Business Regulatory Frameworks
BGR - 2 :
- Management Theory
- Accounting Theory and Auditing
- Business Environment and Business Ethics
AGR - 3 :
- Financial Accounting.
- Cost Accounting.
- Business Mathematics and Statistics
N.B. :
- A Student is not eligible to take up any of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics if he/she has not passed in those subjects in the H.S. or equivalent examination.
- Students must have secured 45% marks in aggregate at H.S. level or equivalent for getting any Honours subject.
- Students must have to pass Mathematics/ Business Mathematics or equivalent at the Higher Secondary level for getting Economics Honours (w.e.f. 2015-16).
- A student may enroll his name at National Service Scheme of the college. For the purpose separate application form is to be submitted to the N.S.S. Office when notification would be made for the purpose.
- Students may shift from any Honours subject to another or to change any Elective subject with the permission of the Principal within a month from the commencement of classes on payment of Rs.50/-. No change will be made after submission of the Registration-cum-enroment form.
- Medium of instruction is Bengali and English.
