Rules and Documents Necessary for Admission

• Admit Card of Madhyamik Examination / Marksheet of I.C.S.E. / C.B.S.E. Registration Certificate.
• Admit Card of H.S./S.C. (+2) I C.B.S. Examination or any Board recognized by Calcutta University.
• Registration Certificates of H.S. Examination.
• Orignal Migration Certificate for students coming from any board other than H.S. Council.
• Mark Sheet of the H.S. Examination / +2 Examination of any board or Council recognised by. C.U.
• Transfer / School Leaving certificates for the student from the Head of the Institution last attended.
• Original SC/ST/OBC/Physically Handicapped. Certificate for students belonging to the reserved category.

Rules regarding Payment of Fees

• All fees must be paid through the fee-book issued to the students by the college authority. In case of loss of the fee-book by a student, a duplicate fee-book will be issued to the student after the submission of an application by the student along with an F.I.R. at the local P.S. A sum of Rs. 20 only will be charged for the duplicate fee-book.
• All monthly fees must be paid within 15th of each month on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday from 11.30 a.m.to 2-30 p.m.
• All payments to the college must be paid in cash at the cash counter of the college office and proper receipt of the payment must be received and preserved.
• Students intending to leave the college must take the transfer certificate from the college after clearing all their financial dues to the college. They must pay a transfer fee.
• Any student found damaging any college property will have to pay the cost of the damaged article as well as face disciplinary action. Any loss or damage caused to books of the college college library will have to be compensated.

Rules regarding Admission

• Candidates are advised to follow the prospectus carefully while filling up their application farms. Any incomplete form will be subject to immediate cancellation.
  
  Candidates desiring to seek admission to this college are required to apply personally in the prescribed admission forms available in the college office. The candidates must bring with them +2 Pass mark sheet and produce it at the time of procurement of the forms. The forms must be duly filled up and positively submitted within the specific date and time [as notified in the college notice board). Admission both to the Honours and General courses will be granted solely on the basis of merit with statutory reservations for SC, ST, OBC and PH candidates. Photocopy of the Certificates of SC, ST, OBC and PH(if any) must be produced with the admission form.
  
  All students must submit photo copies of all relevant documents duly attested by the Head of the institutions attended last.
  
  Original testimonials are to be produced at the time of admission. All admissions are to be treated as provisional admission and are to be ratified only after the receipt of the Registration Certificates of the students from the Calcutta University.
  
  Candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC and PH categories can avail of the marks relaxation in the seats reserved for them provided they produce the official certificate of their caste status subject to fulfilment of the University norms.
  
  As per new norms of admission the aggregiate marks will be calculated as best of four subjects except EVS.
  
  As per instruction of U.G.C. Students who are B.P.L. Card Holders would have to mention the Regn. No. of the card at the time of admission.

Computer Education

• Computer education in HMG College Computer Centre (HMGCCC) is compulsory for students of B.Com Accountancy Honours & General and B.Sc. Honours & General stream. The fee is within the reach of the student and is far less than the other concerns in the computer field. Needy and meritorius students of the college may obtain special concession in fees. Computer classes are so adjusted that normal degree classes are not hampered.
