Selection Procedure for Admission to B.Com. (Hons.) Course 2016-2017

• Candidates will be short-listed first on the basis of criteria 1-4 mentioned below i.e. marks obtained in the Class-XII board examination, having mathematics as a subject in Class-XII, awards won and special training. Only the first 900 candidates as per the merit list will be called for group discussion.

  1	Academic Performance	Average percentage of marks obtained in best of four subjects at the Class-XII level
  	Marks obtained in the Class-XII board examination (marks obtained in the best four core subjects of which it must be English will be taken. The following subject like compulsory EVS, fashion studies, multimedia, music, dance, art, physical education and other vernacular subjects will not be considered)
  2	Mathematics in Class-XII These points will be awarded on the basis of marks secured in Class-XII as follows: • No Mathematics – 0 Point • 1-10% Marks Obtained in Mathematics - 1 Point • 11-20% Marks Obtained in Mathematics - 2 Points • 21-30% Marks Obtained in Mathematics - 3 Points • 31-40% Marks Obtained in Mathematics - 4 Points • 41-50% Marks Obtained in Mathematics - 5 points • 51-60% Marks Obtained in Mathematics - 6 Points • 61-70% Marks Obtained in Mathematics - 7 Points • 71-80% Marks Obtained in Mathematics - 8 Points • 81-90% Marks Obtained in Mathematics - 9 Points • Above 90% Marks Obtained in Mathematics - 10 Points	10 Points
  3	Awards Won / Participation in Extra Curricular Activities *	5 Points
  	* Candidates would have to submit attested certificates proving the same
  4	Special Training in Languages / Dance / Music / Sports / Painting or Art / Others *	5 Points

  5	Group Discussion	50

• Short-listed candidates will have to appear for a group discussion, only on the date specified; no change in the dates allotted will be permitted. Candidates who fail to appear for the group discussion will be considered ineligible for the final selection.
• The final merit list of selected candidates will be prepared based on scores obtained in the Group Discussion.
• Selected candidates will have to pay the fees within 24 hours of the merit list being put up or else the seat will be given to the candidate next on the merit list.
