Admission Norms for Major Course 2016-2017

SUBJECT CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION TO B.A. (Major) – TTMV - 2016-2017 :
A candidate who secures a minimum of 45% (40% for candidates belonging to SC/ST community) marks in the aggregate at the H.S. (10+2) or in an equivalent examination shall be eligible for admission to the B.A. (Major) Degree Course of Study in Tourism & Travel Management, provided she has passed in English having full marks not being less than 100.

For the purpose of determining eligibility to TTMV Course, aggregate shall be calculated by adding the marks in Top-Four subjects in order of marks secured by a candidate in H.S. (10+2) or in an equivalent examination.

Marks in compulsory Environmental Education/ Studies shall not be taken into account for calculation of aggregate marks. However Environmental Science (Elective subject of 100 marks) may be considered.

Candidates taking up TTMV B.A. (Major) Degree Course shall study History and Sociology as Compulsory Elective Subjects.

More than 80% of final year students of TTMV were got Tourism related jobs in different Government & Non-Government sectors. A Placement Cell is there in the College to conduct Campus Interview. For B.A. Major Course :

• Elective subjects (Geography, Psychology, Journalism & Mass Communication, Film Studies) will be offered subject to availability of seats. (Confirmation at time of counseling)
• Maximum permissible seats (forHonours students) :

A candidate shall not be allowed to take up any subject as Elective if she has failed in the subject in the previous qualifying examination. College authority will not be responsible, in any way, for wrong combinations chosen by the students.

Candidates from Open School (Rabindra Mukta & National Open School) may take admission in Major Course. Candidates of Vocational courses may take admission in Major Course, but have to contact college officebefore applying online.

Only candidates of 2016, may apply for admission. Candidates of 2015 may apply for admission if they did not take admission anywhere in 2015 or have cancelled their admission in 2015.

Candidates must bring the printout of the Admission Form, submitted Online along with the following documents and the College-copy of the Bank Challan at the time of admission to the college.

Documents required at time of admission:

• Original Mark-Sheet (Not Laminated) of Higher Secondary Level (10+2).
• Original Admit Card and Mark Sheet of Madhyamik or Equivalent Examination.
• Original SC / ST / OBC Certificate in the name of the candidate, in case of SC / ST / OBC candidates.
• Original Migration Certificate in case of migrating students.
• Attested photocopy of Admit Card of Madhyamik or Equivalent for age verification.
• Attested photocopy (both side) of Mark-Sheet of Higher Secondary level (10+2).
• Attested photocopy of SC / ST / OBC Certificate in case of SC / ST / OBC candidates.
• Attested photocopy of Migration Certificate in case of migrating students.
• One Stamp size Photograph (to be pasted in Application Form).
