B.Ed. - Admission Notification 2016-2018
Online applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to the B.Ed. course (Session 2016-18) at the Department of Education, University of Kalyani. Details are available in University website : www.klyuniv.ac.in.

The eligibility criteria for admission to B.Ed. course will be as follows :
- Candidates should be Graduate in a school subject from a recognized university.
- Candidates with at least 50% marks either in the Bachelor's Degree/or in the Master's Degree in Sciences / Social Sciences / Humanities / Languages.
- Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology / BCA / MCA with Science and/or Mathematics, with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are also eligible for admission.
- Fresh candidates should have at least fifty percent marks either in Bachelor's degree / or in the Master's degree in the school subject. For 'Master's Degree', courses of two years duration will be considered for scoring.
- In case of fresh Honours graduate candidates, the marks obtained in Honours subjects (school subject) will be considered.
- In case of Honours graduates in school subject if the marks in the Honours subject is less than 50% then the total marks obtained in honors and pass subjects together will be considered in calculating % age of marks and the candidates will be considered in the category of General Graduates.
- In case of General Graduates, the total marks obtained in general subjects will be considered.

- Deputed candidates should have at least fifty percent marks either in Bachelor's degree /or in the Master's degree in the school subject.
- In deputed teachers’ category untrained deputed teachers from Govt./Govt.-aided schools will only be considered.

For deputed candidates, merit list will be prepared on the basis of length of service.
- Following the memorandum (no. 301-Edn (CS)/10-M-20/2015 dated 14th March, 2016) for B.Ed. course the ratio for Home University students and other University students shall be 80:20 and 50% seats will be reserved for in-service untrained deputed teachers of classes IX – XII.
- Seats will be distributed among freshers if deputed seats are lying vacant.
- Fresher applicants born after 30.06.1978 are eligible to apply. There is no age limit for Deputed teachers.
- Reservation of seats for SC/ST/PWD candidates will be as per Govt. Rules (Minimum disability 40%). Relaxation of minimum qualifying marks will be as per Govt, rules.

i) Bengali, ii) English, iii) History, iv) Economics, v) Political Science, vi) Commerce, vii) Physical Science, viii) Life Science, ix) Mathematics, x) Education, xi) Sanskrit, xii) Geography.
For Deputed Candidates : Applicants deputed by School must submit an attested copy of M.C. resolution recording the approval of Service in regard to his/her service at the time of counseling.
Following additional documents are required to be submitted positively on the day of joining the Institution :- Release order from the Headmaster / Headmistress.
- Attested copy of M.C. resolution with regards to his/her deputation.
- Certificate from Competent Authority whether the candidate teaches in Class IX or above.
- Three copies of passport size photographs of the applicant.
- Deputation form duly filled in (available from the Institution after admission)
- A certificate with the following information is to be submitted from the

Secretary or Headmaster/Headmistress (where he/she is serving) and counter signed by the D.I. of Schools of the District concerned :
- Certified that the School is in receipt of aid on full/ deficit/ lumpsum grant basis or that school in unaided or salary deficit scheme one.
- Certified that she/he is duly approved teacher.
- Certified that she/he is first /school candidate being deputed by the school for training in 2016-2018
- Last pay drawn on ………. 2016 is Rs.--------- (Rupees ------- only)
N.B. - No increment of pay will be given from the Institution. Deputed candidates are directed to report to the Institution immediately after the admission along with his /her fee book for deputation.
Payment of deputation allowance and stipend will be made on receipt of grant from the Competent Authority. The University will in no case be liable for the delay in payment of deputation allowance and stipend.
For scoring in HS, the marks obtained in best five subjects excluding Environmental Studies will be considered.
Admission Procedure for B.Ed. Course (Fresh) :
Admission will be on the basis of scores against marks obtained in qualifying examinations and as per norms of University. Scores against marks for different level of examinations will be as follows :

Payment of Application Fee
- Application fee is Rs. 400/- for General candidates and Rs. 200/- for SC/ST candidates, for PD Rs. 160/-.
- For Payment Candidates should go to www.onlinesbi.com and choose the option State Bank Collect.
- They should proceed for payment after accepting the terms and conditions of State Bank Collect page. Fee collection charge by the Bank is additional.
