Admission to M.Sc. (Microbiology) 2014

Application Forms for Admission to the M.Sc. 1st Semester, in Microbiology (2014) at Vijaygarh Jyotish Ray College (affiliated to the University of Calcutta) will be available from the college office on and from 5th August, 2014 to 9th August, 2014 (11 a.m. to 2 p.m.) on payment of Rs. 200/- in the cash counter.

An admission test will be conducted on 12th August, 2014 in the college from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m. comprising MCQs from different topics of B.Sc Microbiology Honours syllabus. The Merit List, prepared on the basis of the average of percentage of marks obtained in B.Sc. Microbiology Honours and marks in the Admission Test, will be published in the college website as well as in the college and departmental notice board on 19th August, 2014 at 12 noon. Counseling of the enlisted candidates will be conducted on 22nd August, 2014 in the college at 12 noon.

60% of the total seats, i.e. 22 seats are reserved for students of the University of Calcutta, while the remaining 40% seats, i.e. 15 seats open for candidates of all the Universities (including University of Calcutta). Regarding SC / ST or Physically Challenged & OBC candidates, the existing Government Rules will be strictly followed.

Students, whose names will appear in the merit list, are directed to contact the college office on working hours or log on to the college website for further details regarding “Counseling Process” and Admission Fees.
