SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS :

• LISTED CANDIDATES ARE ADVISED TO TAKE ADMISSION WITHIN THE DATES AND TIME MENTIONED BELOW AND TO DEPOSIT THEIR FEES WITHIN THE STIPULATED TIME AND DATES. WHATEVER MAY BE THE REASON, IF ONE FAILS TO TAKE ADMISSION OR DEPOSIT FEES WITHIN THE DATES AND TIME NOTIFIED, SHE/HE SHALL NOT HAVE ANY FURTHER OPPORTUNITY TO TAKE ADMISSION.
• ALL ADMISSIONS WILL BE MADE ON THE BASIS OF PUBLISHED LISTS PREPARED ON THE BASIS OF MARKS. THERE IS NO MANAGEMENT OR UNION OR ANY OTHER QUOTA. NO CANDIDATE SHOULD BE DUPED BY FALSE PROMISES MADE BY TOUTS OR AGENTS.
• ALL SC/ST CANDIDATES MUST PROVE THAT THEIR STATE OF ORIGIN IS WEST BENGAL. OTHERWISE, THEY SHALL NOT BE ADMITTED AGAINST SC/ST RESERVATIONS.
• IF AN APPLICANT HAS ALREADY TAKEN ADMISSION IN ANY OTHER COLLEGE, HE/SHE HAS TO CANCEL THAT ADMISSION WITHIN SEVEN DAYS OF THE DATE OF ADMISSION IN THIS COLLEGE, FAILING WHICH HER / HIS ADMISSION SHALL BE LIABLE TO BE CANCELLED.

• No student shall be considered for admission if he or she fails to take admission or to deposit fees within the dates(s) and time mentioned above. All applicants are advised to follow admission schedule strictly.
• Listed and interested candidates have to take out a print out (for getting print out of ADMISSION FORM click at the link mentioned on the Merit List and follow instructions accordingly) of ADMISSION FORM, printed on BOTH SIDES of a A4 size BOND PAPER along with the IDENTITY CARD FORM, on a separate A4 size paper which they have to bring to the College at the time of admission along with other documents mentioned in (g) below. A print out on bad quality paper / an illegible print out / a photocopy of print out of Admission Form WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

• DOCUMENTS REQUIRED AT THE TIME OF ADMISSION :
  • Two copies of passport size colour photograph (taken wearing a light coloured dress) and five copies of stamp size colour photograph.
  • Two unattested photocopies of Admit Card or Certificate of Madhyamik or equivalent examination passed along with the original for verification.
  • Two unattested photocopies of Mark sheet of Madhyamik or equivalent examination passed along with the original for verification.
  • Two unattested photocopies of Admit Card of Higher Secondary or equivalent examination passed along with the original for verification.
  • Two unattested photocopies of Mark sheet of Higher Secondary or equivalent examination passed along with the original for verification.
  • Two unattested photocopies of Registration Certificate of Higher Secondary or equivalent examination passed along with the original for verification.
  • Two unattested photocopies of Caste / Tribe/ Physically Challenged Certificate (when applicable), along with the original for verification. riginal. SC / ST Certificates.
  • Excepting CBSE/ISC/WBCHSE/NOS, all other Board students including foreign students are to submit Original Migration Certificate and Authentication Certificate at the time of Admission.
  • Copy of the print out of the preliminary application form and preliminary application fee deposition acknowledgment slip.
  • Print out of ADMISSION FORM, printed on BOTH SIDES of a A4 size BOND PAPER along with the IDENTITY CARD FORM, on a separate A4 size paper. (A print out on bad quality paper/ an illegible print out /a photocopy of print out of Admission Form WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED).

• Lists of all applicants applied for different Honours Courses and B.Com, General Course, as outstanding sports' person shall be published on AUGUST 5, 2013.
• Appearing names on those lists shall not ensure admission.
• Willing and listed applicants shall have to contact the Teacher-in-Charge of the College on a subsequent date and time to be notified on AUGUST 5, along with their certificates in Original showing their representation of State/s at the National level sports and games and/or representation of Nation at the International level sports and games.
• They cannot and need not take out any print out of ADMISSION FORMS.
• After verification of Certificate/s mentioned in (a) above, on the basis of the published lists (to be published at our admission website on a date after AUGUST 5, 2013) for admission as outstanding sports persons, they will be allowed to take print out of ADMISSION FORM and take admission on dates and time to be notified at the time of publication of such list.

• A candidate who has passed the higher secondary (10+2) or its equivalent examination is eligible to seek admission to the 1st year of the 3-year B.A/ B.Sc./ B.Com (Honours & General) Course of studies provided he/she has also passed in English, as a subject, at the +2 level, having full marks not being less than 100. However, no candidate shall be allowed for admission after a lapse of more than 3years from the year of passing the previous qualifying examination of recognized regular course of study after passing the previous qualifying examination. Explanation : The year of Admission shall not be taken into account while calculating three years from the year of passing the previous qualifying examination.
• College does not admit students passed through Compartmental/ Supplementary Examinations.
• ADMISSION SHALL BE MADE STRICTLY ON BASIS OF MERIT AND FROM AMONG THE PUBLISHED LISTS. ANY SOLICITATION IN ANY FORM IS TOTALLY UNNECESSARY AND DETRIMENTAL TO THE INTEREST OF THE STUDENT (S).
• For the purpose of determining eligibility for admission , aggregate marks shall be calculated by adding the marks in top-four subjects in order of marks secured by a candidate. However, marks in compulsory Environmental Education/Studies shall not be taken into account for calculation of aggregate marks. If the subject "Environmental Science" is studied as an elective subject of 100 marks, it may be taken into account for the purpose of determining the aggregate marks.
• A Student admitted to a Course/ Subject may convert to another Course/Subject when his or her name turns up on the list for the latter Course/Subject, by paying the difference fees, if any. But he or she has to take admission on the dates mentioned on the list (s).
• Whatever may be the result, no student shall be allowed to get transferred to B. Com (Accounting and Finance) or B. Com (Marketing), on the basis of his/her result in B.Com (Part-1) Examination.
• All admissions are Provisional and shall be finalised only after proper verification of documents and fulfilment of the norms of University of Calcutta
• If there remain vacant seats after admitting all applicants in any Honours subject (s), fresh application will be invited online.
• Any wrong statement will cause forfeiture of right of getting admission.
• In all matters the decision of the Admission Committee of the college will be binding and final.
• If an applicant who has already taken admission in this College wants to cancel admission, he/she may have to pay a cancellation charge. NO REFUND OF FEES ALREADY PAID WILL BE ALLOWED IN CASE OF CANCELLATION OF ADMISSION.
• Interested applicants may consult the Master List of all applicants, published along with the First Merit list, to note their relative position among all applicants.
• Fresh Applications from the categories of persons specified below may be sought for Admission to Courses mentioned against the corresponding category :
