Notes :
Only pass in H.S. or Equivalent Level provided the candidate passed any of the following subject(s) at the previous qualifying examination.
Accountancy, Business Economics including Business Mathematics, Business Organization, Mathematics, Business Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Business Studies, Office and Secretarial Practice, Financial Accounting, Elements of Cost Accountancy and Auditing, Book Keeping, Commerce, Cost Accountancy & Principles of Management.- The word 'Subject' or 'related subject' for B. Com Honours in Accounting & Finance or in Marketing shall mean: Accountancy, Business Economics including Business Mathematics, Business Organization, Mathematics, Business Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Business Studies, Office Practice and Secretarial, Financial Accounting, Elements of Cost Accountancy and Auditing, Book Keeping, Commerce, Cost Accountancy & Principles of Management.
- For the purpose of determining eligibility for admission to the Honours Course, aggregate marks shall be calculated by adding the marks in top-four subjects in order of marks secured by a candidate. However, marks in compulsory Environmental Education/Studies shall not be taken into account for calculation of aggregate marks. If the subject “Environmental Science” is studied as an elective subject of 100 marks, may be taken into account for the purpose of determining the aggregate marks.

As per order no. BC/16014/82-SC & BCD-1, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes of a particular State will be entitled to concessions/benefits admissible to the Scheduled Castes/ Tribes from her/his State of origin only. Therefore, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes of West Bengal State only are entitled to relaxation in eligibility criteria regarding admission and reservation of seats. Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes from States other than West Bengal are not entitled to such benefits/concessions. They will be treated at per with the General Category students.
In case of certification by MP/MLA/Municipal Councilor/Panchayat Member etc. student must be a resident of the Constituency/Ward/Panchayat etc which is being represented by that certifying authority.
All Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes Students must ensure that they will submit original Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes certificates of theirs, issued by competent authorities such as Backward Classes Welfare Department, West Bengal, if not submitted at the time of admission, within three months from the date of admission, failing which their admissions shall be liable to be cancelled. - Applicants are asked to note that no student of B.Com. (General) shall be allowed to pursue B.Com. (Honours) course after his or her passing the B.Com. (Part 1) examination irrespective of his or her result in B.Com. (Part 1) examination. Similarly, no student of B.Com. (Marketing Honours) shall be allowed to pursue B.Com. (Accounting and Finance Honours) irrespective of his or her results in B.Com. (Part 1 or Part 2) examinations.

A candidate shall be allowed to take up Honours in Economics if he/she has passed in Mathematics at the H.S Examination (10+2) conducted by West Bengal Council of H.S. Education or its equivalent examination in Mathematics / Business Mathematics (NOT BUSINESS ECONOMICS INCLUDING BUSINESS MATHEMATICS). - Political Science (Honours) :

Regulations for Admission to the three year B.A. / B.Sc. / B.Com. (Honours & General) Course of studies effective for the Academic Session 2013-2014 :
Admission Qualifications :
A candidate who has passed the higher secondary (10+2) or its equivalent examination is eligible to seek admission to the 1st year of the 3-year B.A. / B.Sc. / B.Com. (Honours & General) Course of Studies provided he/she has also passed in English having full marks not being less than 100.
However, no candidate shall be allowed for admission after a lapse of more than 3 years from the year of passing the previous qualifying examination of recognized regular course of study after passing the previous qualifying examination (Year of Passing must not be before 2010).
Explanation : The year of Admission shall not be taken into account while calculating three years from the year of passing the previous qualifying examination.
Migration : Students who have passed the Higher Secondary ( 10+2) Examination or its equivalent from the All India Boards/Councils (i.e. CBSE, ISC and National Institute of Open Schooling need not require to submit Migration Certificate for getting Registration under the University.
College does not admit students passed through Compartmental/ Supplementary Examinations. College also does not admit students passed in Vocational Stream. They need not apply. Even if they apply and get listed they shall not be admitted.

Applications are to be made ONLINE at www.herambachandraadmissions.co.
Application submission will remain open from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. of 31 July, 2013. - Candidates applying for One Subject may also apply separately for Other Subjects with separate Bank Challan of Rs. 70/-. For example, a candidate applying for B.Com.Honours in 'Accounting & Finance' may also apply for B.Com. Honours in 'Marketing'. The same option is available for B.A. / B.Sc.(Honours) subjects also.
- After completion of data entry online, the candidate shall have to take a print out of it, which in case of any dispute regarding data entry shall be considered to be the basis.

After completion of step (1) candidate shall have to take a print out of the bank challan, which shall be there in triplicate, of which one is to be retained by the candidate while depositing the application fee of Rs 70 at Golpark Branch of Indian Overseas Bank. Bank will accept the Application Fees only on August 1, 2013 during the Banking Hours (Between 9-30 am and 2-30 pm).

- While publishing the Merit lists, dates of admission and dates of deposition of fees at GOLPARK Branch of Indian Overseas Bank shall be announced. Listed and interested candidates have to take out a print out of enrolment form, ON BOND PAPER, which they have to bring to the college on the dates (s) of admission along with Copies and Originals of Class X, Class XII admit cards, Certificates, Mark sheets, Caste Certificates (if required), Physically Challenged Certificates (if required), Sports and Games Certificates (if required), two copies of Passport size colour Photographs and five copies of Stamp size colour Photographs.
- As per the stipulation by the University of Calcutta, candidates from states other than West Bengal must authenticate their mark-sheet before admission.
- At the time of publishing merit lists, date of publication of subsequent merit lists, if required, shall be announced. While publishing the successive Merit lists, dates of admission and dates of deposition of fees at Golpark Branch of Indian Overseas Bank shall be announced. - A Student admitted to a Course/ Subject may convert to another Course/Subject when his or her name turns up on the list for the latter Course/subject, by paying the difference fees, if any. But he or she has to take admission on the dates mentioned on the list (s).
- All admissions are Provisional and shall be finalised only after proper verification of documents and fulfillment of the norms of University of Calcutta.
- Any wrong statement will cause forfeiture of right of getting admission.
- In all matters the decision of the Admission Committee of the college will be binding and final.
- ADMISSION SHALL BE MADE STRICTLY ON BASIS OF MERIT AND FROM AMONG THE PUBLISHED LISTS. ANY SOLICITATION IN ANY FORM IS TOTALLY UNNECESSARY AND DETRIMENTAL TO THE INTEREST OF THE STUDENT (S)

But in those cases, if Calcutta University refuses registration because of nonsubmission of an original Scheduled Caste/Tribe certificates, college shall have no responsibility for such non-registration.
- Original and unattested Xerox copies of (10+2) level Registration Certificate to be produced.
- Excepting CBSC/ISC/WBCHSE/N.I.O.S., all other Board students including foreign students are to submit Original Migration Certificate and Authentication Certificate at the time of final Admission.
