The minimum qualification for admission as prescribed for each of B.A., and B.Com. programmes is 10+2 passed, that is H.S. qualified or equivalent. Students passing 10+2 in vocational courses of any recognised University may be admitted in the B.A. courses only. Students passing Bachelor’s Preparatory Programme (BPP) of any recognised University may be admitted in the B.A., B.Com. courses. Candidates may get themselves admitted in B.Com. if they have passed BPP course with Preparatory Commerce (PCO) as a subject. Candidates passing BPP with Preparatory Social Science (PSS) can only opt for B.A. Course. For pursuing honours in English a candidate should secure at least 40% marks in English at 10+2 level or 50% marks in aggregate in case of candidates passing BPP with PSS.
The Eligibility Criteria for admission into B.Sc. Course are as follows :
To pursue honours course in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Zoology and Botany candidate must secure at least 40% marks in respective subjects at 10+2 level. The candidate must have passed the 10+2 examination with pass marks in Mathematics in case of honours in Physics and Chemistry. For honours in Mathematics and with Biology / Botany or Zoology for honours in Botany or Zoology. For pursuing Honours in Geography, candidates with a minimum of 50% marks in Geography in the +2 level (H.S. or equivalent) are eligible to take admission. Candidates opting for Mathematics / Physics / Chemistry as subsidiary paper must pass the subject in the 10 +2 level (H.S. or equivalent). Students from 11-class old H.S. courses may also be admitted to Bachelor’s Degree Programme (BA & B.Com.) after they have passed BPP.
