Applicants should note that registration for XAT 2017 and appearing for XAT 2017 is the preliminary step towards applying to XLRI and XAT Associate Institutes. Applicants to different institutes, besides XLRI have to apply separately to Institutes of their choice.

Applicants for XAT 2017 can choose to pay online using credit card/ debit card/ online banking. Candidates can also make payment through a demand draft made from any bank (in favour of XLRI Jamshedpur A/C XAT). Third alternative for making payment can be “cash”. Human Resource Management (HRM)
In this globalized era the manager’s ability to tap latent talents of the workforce is definitely a much sought after skill-set. Business Management (BM)
Shaping future business leaders as responsible and highly skilled managers is the thrust of the BM programme. The rigorous training prepares value-based managers with an integrated approach to decision-making. Drawing in on functional disciplines such as Economics, Finance, Information Systems, Marketing, Production & Operations Management and Strategic Management the programme trains enterprising manager for a sustainable future.

General Management Programme
The General Management Program aims at augmenting the skill-sets and competencies of practicing managers. Exposing them to recent trends, tools and techniques in Management would prepare them to enhance performance. This 15 month, full time AICTE recognized course incorporates a 3-month field based training in a functional area.
Eligibility : Recognized bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration in India/abroad with at least 5 years of managerial/supervisory experience by March 31, 2017.
Candidates may apply either through XAT 2017 or GMAT score (taken between December 01, 2014 and December 20, 2016).

The exam shall consiste of the following sections:

• Quantitative Ability
• English Language & Logical Reasoning
• Decision Making
• GK
• Essay

• Visit xatonline.net.in click on Register, create a new account with your personal email id, you will receive a unique XAT ID and registration link.
• Click on the link and create your own password. (Next time you will be allowed to login with this XAT ID and password).
• Select the Test City, write Name, upload photo and signature and save it.
• Select your Citizenship (Indian/ Foreign / NRI).
• If you are interested to apply for XLRI, select the programme of your choice Business Management (BM)/Human Resource Management (HRM)/General Management Programme (GMP). Candidates not interested in any of the XLRI programmes can skip this step.
• Fill preliminary information (Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Category and Phone Number etc….)
• Provide your mailing address and permanent address.
• Provide your educational qualification starting from 10th onwards.
• Provide details of work experience starting from the latest job. Candidates desirous of applying to GMP must have total experience of five years till March 31, 2017.
• Select Mode of Payment: There are three possible modes of payment

    • Through VISA/Master Credit/Debit Cards
      (American Express Card is inadmissible)
    • IDBI Net banking (this option is available only for IDBI account holder)
  • Mode 2
    Cash Payment
    Please take a print out of the XAT Pay-In-Slip visit nearest IDBI bank and make the payment.
  • Mode3
    Demand Draft
    Please make a DD made from any Bank in favour of "XLRI Jamshedpur A/c XAT" payable at Jamshedpur.
  
  
Important: Applicant paying through Mode 2 & 3 should update the payment details in the registration page.

• Candidates only interested in XAT but not in XLRI need to pay a fee of Rs. 1600/-(Rupees Sixteen Hundred only). Candidates interested in XLRI programme(s) needs to pay an additional fee of Rs.300/- each.
• Print XAT Confirmation page, in future for all correspondence with XAT office, quote your XAT ID.
• Send Confirmation page and the Demand Draft to:
  The Chairperson Admission, XLRI, Circuit House Area (East), Jamshedpur- 831001.
  The same must be sent within fifteen days from the issuance of DD.
  If you have made the payment other than DD you should not send the confirmation page.
• Download the XAT e-Bulletin 2017 from xatonline.net.in or www.xlri.ac.in
• Download the XLRI e-Brochure from www.xlri.ac.in or www.xlri.edu.
• Download the Admit cards from 20th December 2016 onwards(xatonline.net.in).
• Candidates applying through GMAT may do so by following instruction given on www.xlri.ac.in

Once you provide your email id you will receive a unique XAT ID.

• Please quote your email (provided during the registration) and XAT ID for all future communication
• Please ensure that you provide a valid email address.
• Please ensure that you use your personal email address only as your primary email address in the application. (If you use your official email address and in case you switch jobs, it would be difficult for us to communicate with you).
