• General Guidelines :
  • Admission will be ordinarily IN ORDER OF MERIT. But the College Faculty reserves the right to use discretion in cases involving the interest of the College.
  • Reservations for all Special Categories of Students will be as per Government Rules.

      N.B. –
      Journalism & Mass Communication will be offered directly only to Communicative English (Major) students. Rest of the seats will be filled up as a change subject in order of merit after the admission is over preferably from students of Bengali (Hons.) & English (Hons.).

  • • Submission of Application will be only ONLINE. PROSPECTUS & APLLICATION FORMS will be available from the College Website : www.seramporecollege.org
    • Application fee of Rs. 80/- for each application has to be submitted to the IDBI specified Branches* of Hooghly, Howrah and North 24 Parganas. *List of specified IDBI Branches are given in the Clause no.B 1(b).
    • One candidate can apply for at most FIVE HONOURS subjects and ONE GENERAL Course.
    • SEPARATE APPLICATION FORMS must be submitted for :
      • General Course – B.A. / B.Sc. (Pure) / B.Sc. (Bio) / B.Com.
      • Honours Course – Separate application form for different HONOURS subjects.
  • ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION TO HONOURS COURSE :

  • No student from the VOCATIONAL & AGRICULTURAL Streams will be admitted to HONOURS COURSE.
  • RULES FOR STUDENTS COMING FROM OTHER UNIVERSITY / BOARD / COUNCIL will be as per CALCUTTA UNIVERSITY REGULATIONS.
  • The application from the candidates passing H. S. or equivalent Examination in 2013 & 2012 will only be entertained in general.

  • The above restrictions are not applicable to special cases as per Clause No. 1 of GENERAL GUIDELINES.
