Admission Notice


  • Eligibility for Applications :
    • For General Course :
      Students who have passed Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (10+2) Pattern after a period of 12 years of study or an examination recognized as equivalent by the University of North Bengal (CBSE, ISC and other Boards) in the year 2016 with at least four subjects including English as compulsory subject but excluding Environmental Studies / Environmental Education with 50% of marks in aggregate.
    • For Honours Course :
      Along with the conditions as said in 1(a) above, the students obtaining either
      (i) at least 65% marks (50% in case of SC/ST students) in the aggregate
      or
      (ii) at least 50% marks (45% in case of SC / ST students) in the aggregate with 60% marks in the concerned subject (i.e. Accounting / Accounts in case of Honours in Accounting and Business Organisation / Business Studies / Commerce in case of Honours in Management) may apply for Honours Courses.
    N.B. :
    • In the matter of eligibility to apply for admission to Honours Courses, 54.5% “marks” or above shall be treated as 55% “marks, 49.5% or above shall be treated as 50% “marks’ and 59.5% “marks” or above shall be treated as 60% “marks’.
    • The percentage of “marks’ as stated in (a) and N.B (i) above shall be computed on the basis of best of four subjects including English but excluding Environmental Studies / Environmental Science / Environmental Education.
  • Procedure for Application :
    • Step-1 : Applicants should log on to the College Portal : siliguricollegeofcommerce.org click Application Form, Fill-up the Form carefully and attach scanned copy of Passport Photo in the specified space., Mark-Sheet of school leaving examination, Admit Card of Secondary Examination or Birth Certificate and Certificate issued by the BCW Deptt. Govt. of West Bengal for SC, ST and OBC categories.
    • Step–II : After filling up (fulfilling) Step–I, a Bank Challan will be generated. The students should deposit Rs. 100/- *as Registration Fee with State Bank of India in the College Account No. 34946353039, within 6th June,2016.
    • Step-III : The applicant should log on to the College Portal again and attach and upload the scanned copy of Bank Receipt.
    • Step–IV : After submission of registration or enrolment fee by the candidate, Merit-List will be published in the College Website after 5:30 P.M. on 13.06.2016 (Both for Honours and General Course), and a “message alert” shall be sent to the selected candidates. After receiving the message they should deposit their Admission Fee in the above mentioned College Account between 14th to 16th June, 2016 The fees for Honours Course is Rs. 2,600/- * and for General Course Rs. 2,300/- *.

      The students who have deposited their fees shall appear before the College Authorities with all relevant documents and self attested photo copy of such documents along with 1 Passport size colour photo on 14th & 17th June between 2:30 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. They should also furnish a copy of “Bank Challan”.
    • Step–V : If any candidate fall to appear in the “Verification Session” as mentioned above, his candidature shall stand cancelled and money deposited in Bank thus forfeited. If any vacancies arise due to non appearance of candidates in the “Verification Session” on 14th & 17th June, 2016 the next slab of concerned candidates from the Merit List shall be informed through Mobile message and they shall deposit fees to the Bank Account between 18th to 20th June, 2016 and appear for the “Verification Session” on 18th to 21st June, 2016. If candidates fail to appear within 21st June, 2016 the College Authorities shall decide upon the filling up of “Such Seats” and notify accordingly on 21.06.2016, strictly on the basis of Merit List as published / notified.
    • The students who intend to admit themselves in the “General Course” should follow up with the “College Website’ for “Admission process” for the “General Course”.

      All Admissions are provisional subject to the authentication and approval of the Registrar, University of North Bengal.

      The decision of the Admission Committee / College Authority is final and binding.

*Bank Charges is applicable with every deposit.
