You are now ready to take the Know-How Entrance Test, after successfully completing the Registration and Payment procedure.
Online Entrance Test can be taken Anytime Anywhere by accessing the link sent to you on your registered email id.
Centre Based Entrance Test can be taken by reaching either of the below given addresses from Monday-Friday in between 11:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.
- TNU City Office: Vishwakarma Building, 86C Topsia Road (S), Kolkata - 700046.
- TNU Campus: Sarisa, D.H. Road, 24 Pgs (South) West Bengal 743 363.
Students may also come to the prescribed 'centre' across different cities in India and appear for their entrance test. (Further information on the 'centre' location would be shared with the applicant through email or telephone).
Know-How Entrance Test

First level of the test (Test 1) is mandatory for every aspirant of undergraduate course such as B.Tech. / B.Sc. / B.A. / BBA / Diploma / M.Sc. (Integrated) in Biotechnology / Bioinformatics / Applied Microbiology. This part of the test does not require any special preparation as it assesses aptitude, tenacity, creativity, logical and analytical abilities, and communication skills. 1 hour duration.

Students who are desirous to join any of the B.Tech., B.Sc. in Nautical Science, programs will have to appear for the second level of the test (Test 2). This part of the test evaluates your knowledge of physics, chemistry & mathematics (PCM). The questions are simple from 10th to 12th class standard. 30 minutes duration.
For all Post Graduate courses in English and Psychology selection will be made on Personal Interview basis.
Test Guidelines for Offline Entrance Test
- Students may come to the prescribed 'centre' as assigned by the University, and appear for the entrance test.
- The test will be conducted in English.
- Students must carry their own stationary.

Appearing for 'Fresh Test'
If for any reason a candidate is unable to complete the entrance test, and want to reappear again, he/ she should contact the University by, sending an email at contact@tnu.in or phone at 9163610909, by mentioning specific reasons. The applicant/ candidate must also share his/ her contact telephone number in the email.
Test Guidelines for Online Entrance Test
- The online entrance test requires a working knowledge of computers and ease of using mouse and keyboard.
- The test will be conducted in English.

Online ‘Test Link’ will be automatically disconnected on completion of the time mentioned for the specific test. Hence, continuous time management is required to perform better.

Candidates are requested to use ‘Test Link’ shared in email as the ‘Only Way’ to start/ restart the test. If for any reason, you need to restart your system, and the system asks for all the details like; ‘Email ID, Pass Key and Password’, please ignore, and restart the test once again through the ‘Link’ provided to you through email.

Candidates may keep a printout of the ‘Guidelines’ handy with them during the tests for their convenience.

- To avoid break in the Test, power back-up is necessary during power failure.
- Remove all cookies and history for better response time.
- Please keep couple of white blank sheets, pencils and calculator for rough work while appearing for the Test.

The online test link will be sent to the candidate’s email Id given in the application form after successful completion of ‘Registration’.

If you do not receive the ‘link’ by email by the prescribed date, you should get in touch with the Admission Office through email at support@cocubes.com, admissions@tnu.in or contact@tnu.in.

Please provide your correct and frequently used email ID to ensure timely receipt of ‘Online Test Link’ through email.

Once you receive the link, please be sure to keep it completely secured and confidential. Please do not disclose it to anyone, or auto-save it, or do anything that will make it liable for misuse.

The online test link is your sole authentication for the online test and other related transactions.

TNU will not be held responsible for any claim or loss that results directly or indirectly from any unauthorized use or misuse of your online test link.
In case of ‘Power Failure’ and ‘System Shutdown’
In case of power failure, candidates are requested to follow the bellow given steps:

Step 1: Continue the test with the same system & browser immediately after resumption of power.

Step 2: Answers marked before the power failure will be auto saved. Candidates should continue the test from the same timer where he/ she left.

Step 3: Candidates are requested to use ‘Test Link’ shared in email as the ‘Only Way’ to start/ restart the test. If for any reason, you need to restart your system, and the system asks for all the details like; ‘Email ID, Pass Key and Password’, please ignore, and restart the test once again through the ‘Link’ provided to you through email.
In case of ‘Internet Failure’
In case of internet failure, candidates are requested to follow the bellow given steps for either cases:

Step 1: Candidates are requested to continue with the test. Answers marked by the candidates will be auto saved as the internet connectivity resumes.

Step 2: If the internet connectivity does not come back even after completion of the test within the stipulated time, candidates need to take ‘screenshot(s)’ of the online test screen of ‘not-submitted questions’ and save it as a PDF file on their desktop and send this file as an attachment to Cocubes ID i.e. support@cocubes.com after their internet connection is restored.

Step 3: If the internet connection resumes, during your screen saving process, the answer sheet will disappear from your screen due to internet connectivity resumption. Your answers now, will be transmitted and auto saved in the server. So do not panic.

Step 4: Kindly note, the timer will remain ON, even when there is no internet connectivity. It would be automatically recorded in the system and monitored accordingly.
Appearing for 'Fresh Test'
If for any reason such as, Power / Internet Failure / Otherwise, a candidate is unable to complete the test, he/she should contact by, sending an email to,

Break between two parts of Entrance Test (Test 1 & Test 2)

Immediately after completion of the First part, candidates shall receive a message like; ‘Please Click here to Start Test 2’. Candidates can click on the above mention ‘Link’ whenever they are ready to appear for Test 2 (same day/ any other day)

Candidates are allowed to appear for both the test, i.e. Test 1 and Test 2, from one particular system or Test 1 from one system and Test 2 may be from any other system, using the same ‘LINK’.

Once start writing the test, has to be completed within the stipulated time as mentioned in the guidelines. However, you may take a gap between two parts of the ‘Entrance Test’ and there is no specific limitation of time gap. It may be one, two hours or even days.
Break during the Test
The ‘Entrance Test’ cannot be hold or stopped/ paused in between. Candidate will be losing his/ her time for which he/ she is away from the system, as the timer will continue.
