ADMISSION CRITERIA [ARTS], 2023

Honours Subject	Merit List for respective courses reflect the Index Marks scored by candidates. Separate Percentile lists for different boards are prepared on the basis of index marks of candidates. Using the Percentile list the final Merit List is compiled.
Bengali	Aggregate % + Bengali % scored in H.S. or equivalent
English	Aggregate % + English % scored in H.S. or equivalent
Hindi	Aggregate % + Hindi % scored in H.S. or equivalent
History	Aggregate % + English % scored in H.S. or equivalent
Persian	Aggregate % + Persian/Urdu % scored in H.S. or equivalent
Philosophy	Aggregate% +%Marks in Philosophy (if candidate has not studied Philosophy % Marks in Psychology/ Education/Mathematics/Sociology/ Political Science whichever is higher
Political Science	Pol Sc / Sociology / Philosophy / Economics/ Physics/Chemistry/ Mathematics/ Biology/ Statistics% + English / Bengali % (whichever is higher) scored in H.S, or equivalent If a candidate had studied Pol. Sc. in H.S. or equivalent, then it will be considered in index, else whichever is higher among Sociology / Philosophy / Economics/ Physics/Chemistry/ Mathematics/ Biology/ Statistics will be considered.
Sanskrit	Aggregate % + Sanskrit % scored in H.S. or equivalent
Sociology	Aggregate % + Sociology / Political Science / Psychology / History / Geography / Economics / Biology / Statistics / Mathematics / Anthropology % in H.S. or equivalent If a candidate had studied Sociology in H.S. or equivalent, then it will be considered in index, else whichever is higher among the above mentioned related subjects.
