    + Eligibility

    Regular Ph.D. Eligibility:
    • A master’s degree or Two-year Post Graduate Diploma (obtained after completing a bachelor's degree with 55% marks or equivalent) or a 5-year Integrated master’s degree (obtained after completing higher secondary school in the 10+2 pattern) in any field with 55% marks or equivalent.
    • OR
    • Professional qualification - CA, CS, CMA (with a minimum of 50% marks) in addition to a bachelor's degree (with at least 55% marks).
    • OR
    • A four-year / eight-semester bachelor’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 6.5/10 or comparable grades.
    Executive Ph.D. Eligibility:
    • A 1-year/2-semester master's degree programme (Full Time) with at least 65% marks in aggregate after a 4 year/8-semester bachelor's degree programme (Full Time) with at least 65% marks or a 2-year/4-semester master's degree programme (Full Time) with at least 65% marks after a 3-year bachelor's degree programme (Full Time) with at least 65% marks, or its equivalent grade wherever grading system is followed. Candidates applying based on master’s degree programme should have at least 2 years of professional experience after master’s degree.
    • OR
    • A candidate seeking admission after a 4-year/8-semester Bachelor’s degree programme (Full Time) should have a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade on point scale wherever the grading system is followed. Candidates applying based on Bachelor’s degree programme should have a minimum of 4 years of professional experience after Bachelor’s degree.
    • OR
    • A Candidate with professional qualifications CA, ICWA, CS (with at least 60% aggregate marks) along with a B.Com/ Degree (with at least 60% aggregate marks). Candidates applying based on the mentioned degree should have at least 2 yrs. of professional experience after completion of their professional degree.

    + Curriculum

    Regular Ph.D. Curriculum:
    The Ph.D. curriculum is spread across 39 credits including Ph.D. Core courses, stream specific courses, PGP Courses and Seminar presentations. The syllabus of each course is available in the Academic section.

    The proposed Ph.D. course structure provides an opportunity for the Scholars to have the breadth of knowledge and flexibility in choosing their courses aligned to the interest of the research.

    Executive Ph.D. Curriculum:
    • In case of a Master's degree (Full Time - 2 years or equivalent) from any IIMs/ IITs/ NITs or national level, the candidate will have to complete a total of 12 credits within one year from the date of admission.

    • In case of a Master's degree or equivalent in Economics, Commerce, Social Sciences, and Sciences from any recognized University/Institution, the candidate will have to complete a total of 18 credits within one year from the date of admission.

    • In the case of Graduates having B.Tech/BE or equivalent degree from IITs/ NITs or other national level institutes, the candidate will have to complete a total of 24 credits within one year from the date of admission.

    The credit requirement, as per the course outline, can be completed in the form of a project report and seminar (for continuous evaluation). For the final assessment, Ph.D. scholars shall appear for only the end semester examinations at IIM Mumbai, preferably during the regular examination period. T he candidate can enrol for the courses which will be in line with the courses taught at IIM Mumbai or as per the expertise of the TAC members.

    Delay in the payment of fees beyond the prescribed time will lead to penalty and subsequent cancellation of the candidature from the Ph.D. programme.

    Executive Ph.D. Eligibility:
    Rs. 1.5 Lakhs per year.
