    Rs. 350.00 (for SC, ST, PH and G-BPL category);
    Rs. 400.00 (for OBCA & OBCB); Rs. 450.00 (for all other General categories)
  • The selected students should join the Hostel on 4 September 2022 and the classes will start from 5 September 2022.

    • Male students who have secured 50% in Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry Honours/Major (for M.SC. Applied Chemistry) combining last 5 semester marks (only Honours marks).
    • 50% in Bengali Hons/Major (for M.A. Bengali), combining last 5 semester marks (only Honours marks)
    • 50% in Philosophy Hons/Major (for M.A. Philosophy), combining last 5 semester marks (only Honours marks)
    • 50% in History Hons/Major (for M.A. History), combining last 5 semester marks (only Honours marks)
    • 50% in Computer Science Hons/Major or in BCA (M.Sc. in Computer Science and Machine Intelligence), combining last 5 semester marks (only Honours marks)
    • 50% in Mathematics Hons/Major or (for M.Sc. Mathematics) combining last 5 semester marks (only Honours marks)
      • Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC A & B / PH students as per Government norms
      • Candidates passed out in 2022/2021

    All original marksheets and admit card must be produced during the written test and/or viva voce, admission and arrival at the hostel.

    • Calculation of SGPA:
      RP (Credit Point) = GP (Grade Point) X CR (Credit)
      SGPA = CRP Total / CR Total
    • Calculation of CGPA:
      CGPA = ΣSem 4
      Sem 1 (CR Total X SGPA)/ ΣSem 4 Sem 1 (CR Total)

    Note 1: However, the department decides each year which optional elective may be offered based on the choice, performance and number of the willing students along with the availability of the expert faculty members and allied matters.

    Note 2: While Bengali and Philosophy departments offer the choices in 4th semester, Sanskrit and Mathematics departments offer it in 3rd and 4th semesters.

    Note 3: Apart from this, all the 5 Post Graduate programmes offer Project Work and/or Field Study and/or Internship at least in one semester.

    Note 4: Both M.A. and M.Sc. Programme students must opt for the following courses: Mandatory Extra Credit Corse - Skill Enhance Course (SEC): Value-Oriented Course (Indian Cultural and Spiritual Heritage) : 4 Credits

    Note 5: Total Credits to be earned by a student to complete M.A./M.Sc. 2 - year / 4 - semester
    Programme : 80 Credits

    Note 6: Marksheet after each semester will be given both with SGPA and detailed marks obtained by the examinee.

    Note 7: Similarly marksheet after the final semester will be given with CGPA and detailed marks obtained by the examinee.

    + Admission to M.Sc. Course in Applied Chemistry

    • All applicant students have to appear in a viva voce.
      However, if the number of applicant students become large, the Department may conduct a written test of 50 marks for short-listing the students for viva voce.
      In such cases students will be informed through the email. In that case the written test will be held on 19 August from 2.30 pm for all applicant students.
      If no such email is sent, it will be obvious that all students must appear in viva voce.
    • Viva Voce will start from 22 August 2022 from 11 am. Depending on the number of eligible students, dates of Viva Voce may go upto 23 and 24 August 2022.
    • Final selection will be done only on the basis of the marks secured in the viva voce: 50 marks
    • Publication of the Merit List after viva voce: 25 August 2022, at 11.30 pm
    • Date of admission of the selected students after viva voce: 29 August 2022, at 11 am.
    • Waiting List students will be called on 31 August 2022 at 11 am.
    • Students must arrive at the Hostel on 4 September 2022.
    • Classes will start from 5 September 2022.
    • Total no. of seats: 12 (Approx)

    + Admission to M.Sc. in Computer Science and Machine Intelligence

    • All applicant students have to appear in a written test (Note: syllabus will be available in college website) of 50 marks for short-listing for viva-voce.
      The written test will be held on 20 August 2022 from 12.00 noon for all applicant students.
    • The merit list of the selected candidates in the written test will be published on 21 August, 2022 at 5.00 pm
    • Viva-voce will start on 22 August 2022 from 11.00 am. The dates of viva-voce may go upto
    • 23 and 24 August 2022 depending on the number of qualified students of written test.
    • Final selection will be done on the basis of total marks (50 + 50 = 100) secured in written test and viva-voce.
    • Publication of the Merit List after viva voce : 25 August 2022, at 11.30 pm
    • Date of admission of the selected students after viva voce : 29 August 2022, at 11 am.
    • Waiting List students will be called on 31 August 2022 at 11 am.
    • Students must arrive at the Hostel on 4 September 2022.
    • Classes will start from 5 September 2022.
    • Total number of seats: 12 (approximately).

    + Admission to M.Sc. Course in Mathematics

    • All applicant students have to appear for a written test (50 marks).
    • There will be 25 MCQs each carrying 2 mark. -1 will be awarded for each incorrect answer
      Syllabus for admission test:
      Linear Algebra, Abstract Algebra, Real Analysis (single and several variables), Complex Analysis, Analytical Geometry (two and three dimensions), Metric Space, Numerical Analysis, Differential Equation (Ordinary, Partial), Application of Calculus.
      The written test will be held on 20 August 2022 from 12.00 noon for all applicant students.
    • The merit list of the selected candidates in the written test will be published on 21 August, 2022 at 5.00 pm
    • Selected candidates in the written test have to appear in Viva voce. (50 marks)
    • Viva voce will start from 22nd August 2022 from 11am. Depending on the eligible candidates, dates of viva voce may go up to 23rd and 24th August, 2022.
    • Final selection will be done on the basis of marks secured in viva voce (out of 50 marks) + marks obtained in written test (out of 50 marks).
    • Publication of the Merit List after viva voce : 25 August 2022, at 11.30 pm
    • Date of admission of the selected students after viva voce : 29 August 2022, at 11 am.
    • Waiting List students will be called on 31 August 2022 at 11 am.
    • Students must arrive at the Hostel on 4 September 2022.
    • Classes will start from 5 September 2022.

    + Admission to M.A. Course in Bengali

    • All applicant students have to appear in a written test to be followed by a viva voce.
    • Admission Test: Marks: 25 (One essay on any topic of Bengali Language and Literature);
      Duration: 45 minutes
    • Final selection will be done on the basis of the Admission Test marks (25) + Viva Voce marks (25)= 50.
    • Date and time of Written test and Viva Voce : 22 August 2022, 11 am.
    • Publication of the Merit List after viva voce : 23 August 2022, at 11.30 pm
    • Date of admission of the selected students after viva voce : 25 August 2022, at 11 am.
    • Waiting List students will be called on 29 August 2022 at 11 am.
    • Students must arrive at the Hostel on 4 September 2022.
    • Classes will start from 5 September 2022.

    + Admission to M.A. Course in Sanskrit

    • All applicant students have to appear in a written test to be followed by a viva voce.
    • Admission Test : Marks : 40 (Essay writing and/or Translation and /or Some question on Honours Syllabus);
      Duration : 1 hour 30 minutes
    • Final selection will be done on the basis of the Admission Test marks (40) + Viva Voce marks (20)= 60.
    • Date and time of Written test and Viva Voce : 22 August 2022, 11 am.
    • Publication of the Merit List after viva voce : 23 August 2022, at 11.30 pm
    • Date of admission of the selected students after viva voce : 25 August 2022, at 11 am.

    • Final selection will be done on the basis of the Admission Test marks (25) + Viva Voce marks (25)= 50.
