Admission to Post Graduate (M.A./M.Sc.) Courses
Academic Year: 2022-2023

  • Online application for admission to Post Graduate courses (M.A. in Bengali, English, History, Political Science, Education, Women’s Studies, Philosophy, Sanskrit and M.Sc. in Mathematics, Physics, Geography, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany) 2022-2023 will commence from 1st September, 2022 and will continue till 15th September, 2022.
  • Last date of submission of application through online system is 15th September, 2022 within 05:00 P.M. Subjects offered and other admission regulations including admission fees are mentioned in the Information Brochure available in the website.
  • First merit list of M.A. and M.Sc. courses will be published in our website on 20th September, 2022.
  • First batch of online admission will be held on 21, 22 and 23rd September, 2022.
  • Second merit list will be published on 26th September, 2022.
  • Second batch of admission will be held on 27, 28 and 29th September, 2022.
  • Third merit list will be published on 12th October, 2022.
  • Third batch of admission will be held on 13, 14 and 15th October, 2022.
  • The students will upload their documents [Photo, Madhyamik Admit / Certificate, UG Mark sheet, Caste Certificate (if any), Aadhar Card / Voter Card, National / State Sports Certificate (if any) etc.] along with the form for admission on online mode.
  • Follow the website on regular basis for updated information. If any seat remains vacant after 3rd batch admission, offline counseling may be conducted.
  • All processes regarding submission of application and admission will be done through online mode only.

    + Eligibility Criteria

    Hons. Graduates under 10+2+3 in the relevant subject. Minimum 45% in the Hons. Subject. A relaxation of 5% in total marks will be given for State Level position holders and National Level participants for the sports-persons. Hons. graduates in Arts, Science and Commerce will be eligible to apply for admission in Women’s Studies. B.Sc. / B.A. in Geography Hons. students are eligible and will be awarded M.Sc. / M.A. degree in Geography on successful completion. Applicants who have graduated in 2017, or earlier are not eligible for the admission in P.G. courses. Candidates passed out under CBCS have to convert obtained CGPA (on the basis of all courses) to percentage as per the conversion formula mentioned in the U.G. Marksheet / Grade sheet.
