Last Date for online submission of application is 14/09/2022.

This portal is only for the applicants who have completed their B.A.(Hons.) degree from Jadavpur University (internal students).

The University shall not be liable for any implication (be responsible in any way) in case any of the information submitted by the applicant is found to be erroneous and incorrect. His/her application/ counseling/ admission may be terminated in such cases.

    + Admission Notice

    All internal students of B.A. (Honours) courses completed the sixth and final semester examination in 2022 are advised to note the following.

    An internal student (completed the sixth and final semester examination) shall be admitted provisionally if s/he passed all papers of B.A.(Hons.) and submits the online application form within the stipulated dates as announced below.
    • Students who have completed the B.A. (Honours) Sixth Semester Examination, 2022 may apply online for provisional admission to M.A. (Day) courses (session 2022-2023) in their respective departments.
    • Online application forms will be in the link https://admission.jdvu.ac.in on and from September 1 to September 14, 2022.
    • After online application, they are required to submit the print-out of online application form along with self-attested photocopies of all mark-sheets, certificates including SC/ST/PD/OBC-A/OBC-B certificates, if applicable, at the time of verification/admission.
    • All admissions are provisional.
    • As per circular Nos. BC-16014/1/82-SC dt.06/08/1984 & BCD-1, D.O.12017/11/89-SCD(R.CELL) dt.09/01/1990 and 1465–BCW/MR–67/10 dt.30/04/2010 from the Government of West Bengal, Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes of the states other than West Bengal are not entitled to get the benefit of reserved quota in educational institutions in West Bengal, unless they can produce a domicile certificate of 10-year residency in West Bengal issued by competent authority.
    • Persons with 40% or more disability will only be considered for admission under PD category under RPD Act, 2016.
    • The candidates who will be provisionally selected under the OBC-A and OBC-B categories must produce an OBC certificate (the date of issue of the certificate should not be earlier than September 2021) issued by the competent authority that clearly indicates (i) the category (A or B) they belong to; (ii) that they do not belong to creamy layer of the society, at the time of verification/ admission.     • OBC-A and OBC-B candidates of the states other than West Bengal are not entitled to get the benefit of reserved quota in educational institutions in West Bengal, unless they can produce a domicile certificate of 10-year residency in West Bengal issued by competent authority.     • Fees to be paid at the time of online admission: TOTAL: RS. 1210.00
    • Schedule of admission:
      Students are advised to report to the Prof. Anita Banerjee Memorial Hall (Gr. Floor, U.G. Arts Building) for admission according to the following schedule:
      On 22/9/2022 Dept. of Bengali (from 11:00 A.M. to 01:00 P.M.),
      Dept. of History (from 01:00 P.M. to 03:00 P.M.) and
      Dept. of English (from 02:00 P.M. to 04:00 P.M.)
      On 23/9/2022 Dept. of Comparative Literature (from 11:00 A.M. to 01:00 P.M.) and
      Dept. of International Relations (from 01:00 P.M. to 03:00 P.M.)
      On 27/9/2022 Dept. of Philosophy (from 11:00 A.M. to 01:00 P.M.),
      Dept. of Sanskrit (from 01:00 P.M. to 03:00 P.M.) and
      Dept. of Sociology (from 03:00 P.M. to 05:00 P.M.)

    + How to calculate the marks obtained

    For Secondary or equivalent On the basis of aggregate of all marks obtained in class 10th board examination.
    For Higher Secondary or equivalent On the basis of:
    • WBCHSE: Best of 4 subjects excluding marks of Environmental Studies/Environmental Education/Environmental Science (out of 400 marks)
    • Central Board of Secondary Education: Best of 4 subjects (out of 400 marks)
    • Council for the Indian School Certificate: Best of 4 subjects (out of 400 marks)
    • Other Boards: Best of 4 subjects (out of 400 marks)
    For Honours Graduates (CBCS system) On the basis of marks obtained in Core papers and DSE papers only
