Admission for one year Post Graduate Diploma in Mass Communication
Academic Session: 2022-2023

Announcement of admission for one year Post Graduate Diploma in Mass communication for session 2022-23 offered by Department of Adult Continuing Education & Extension (DACEE).

Applications are invited from Indian citizens.
  • Online application form & relevant instructions will be available from our website www.jaduniv.edu.in or admission.jdvu.ac.in from 09/11/2022.
  • Last date of submission of online application is 30/11/2022.
Eligibility: Graduate from a recognised University.
SC/ST/OBC A/OBC B/PD reservation as per State Government rule.

Class Hour: 05:30 P.M. to 08:30 P.M.

Course Fee: Rs. 20,000/-.

As per the order of the Govt. of West Bengal there is no application fee. However, there will be Admission Test fees of Rs. 100/- for applicants belongs to SC/ST/PD categories and Rs. 200/- for other applicants.

    + Eligibility Criteria

    3-Year Graduation degree from a recognised University
    • Students appeared/appearing for final year examination, 2022 may also apply, but provisionally selected candidates will have to submit their final Graduation mark sheet before taking admission.
    • For candidates under SC/ST Quota:
      As per circular Nos. BC-16014/1/82-SC dt.06/08/1984 & BCD-1, D.O.12017/11/89-SCD(R.CELL) dt.09/01/1990 and letter No.1510-SCW dt.31/05/2007 from the Government of West Bengal, Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes of the states other than West Bengal are not entitled to get the benefit of reserved quota in educational institutions in West Bengal unless they can produce Domicile Certificate for residing in West Bengal for at least 10 years issued by the competent authority.
    • For candidates under OBC Quota:
      The candidates who will be provisionally selected under the OBC-A and OBC-B categories must produce an OBC certificate (the date of issue of the certificate should not be earlier than November 2021) issued by the competent authority that clearly indicates (i) the category (A or B) they belong to; (ii) that they do not belong to creamy layer of the society, at the time of counselling/admission.

      OBC-A and OBC-B candidates of the states other than West Bengal are not entitled to get the benefit of reserved quota in educational institutions in West Bengal, unless they can produce a domicile certificate of 10-year residency issued by competent authority.
    • For Candidates under PD category:
      Persons with 40% or more disability will only be considered for admission under PD category under PWD (Equal Opportunity, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 2016.

    + Selection Procedure

    • Selection will be made on the basis of written test only. Admission test will be conducted in MCQ mode.
    • Admission test will be conducted on the basis of General Knowledge, current affairs and fundamental knowledge of Communication, Advertising, Public Relations, Print Media, Audio-Visual media and New media.
    • Reservation rules of the State Government will be followed.

    + How to calculate the marks obtained

    For Secondary or equivalent (10th) On the basis of aggregate of all marks obtained
    For Higher Secondary or equivalent (12th) On the basis of:
    • W.B.C.H.S.E.: Best of 4 subjects excluding marks of Environmental Studies/Environmental Education/Environmental Science (out of 400 marks)
    • Central Board of Secondary Education: Best of 4 subjects (out of 400 marks)
    • Council for the Indian School Certificate: Best of 4 subjects (out of 400 marks)
    • Other Boards: Best of 4 subjects (out of 400 marks)
    For Honours Graduates (B.A./B.Sc. or equivalent) Non-CBCS system On the basis of aggregate of all marks obtained in Honours papers only
    For Honours Graduates (B.A./B.Sc. or equivalent) CBCS system On the basis of aggregate of all marks obtained in Core & DSE papers only
    For Pass Graduates (B.A./B.Sc. or equivalent) On the basis of aggregate of marks obtained in all papers
