Admission to the 1st semester of Integrated B.Sc. Honours & M.Sc. in Psychology
Academic Session: 2022-23

Admission procedure to the First Semester of Integrated B.Sc. (Honours) & M.Sc. in Psychology for the Academic Session 2022-23 will start on and from 18/07/2022 (schedule annexed) and the guidelines as per Govt. Notification No. 507-Edn(CS)/10M-95/14, dated 30/06/2022 issued by the Department of Higher Education, Government of West Bengal, will be strictly followed during the admission procedure.

All Notifications, Horizontal Scroll and Prospectus of Integrated B.Sc. (Hons.) and M.Sc in Psychology, 2022 with general information will be displayed for the same purpose in SKBU website -- www.skbu.ac.in / https://ug.skbu.ac.in. All notifications will be published in this website time to time.

According to theabove mentioned Notification, Activity Calendar and Govt. Order of HE Dept. Online Applications are invited from eligible Candidates who have obtained minimum 60% marks in aggregate (best of Four subjects) excluding the marks of compulsory ENVS in H.S or equivalent 10+2 examination in 2022, 2021, 2020 from any recognized Board/ Council from Science/ Humanities for admission to the first semester of Integrated B.Sc. (Honours) & M.Sc. in Psychology for the session 2022-2023.

Application Form for online submission will be available on and from 18/07/2022 to 05/08/2022 as per Govt. Notification No.507-Edn(CS)/10M-95/14 , dated 30/06/2022 by the Department of Higher Education, GoWB.

  • Duration: 3 years (6 Semesters) for B.Sc. Hons. and 2 years (4 Semesters) for M.Sc. (Total 10 Semester, 5 Years) with the chance of Lateral entry at 7th Semester and Regular exit after 6th Semester and 10th Semester.
  • Eligibility: Candidates who have obtained minimum 60% marks in aggregate (best of Four subjects) excluding the marks of compulsory ENVS in H.S or equivalent 10+2 examination in 2022, 2021 & 2020 from any recognized Board/Council from Science / Humanities are eligible to apply.

    + Selection Process

    The admission process will be entirely online and according to merit. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks in aggregate (best of Four subjects) excluding the marks of compulsory ENVS in HS or equivalent 10+2 examination.

    If any ties of score of marks for admission between the candidates occur, then the aggregate percentage (%) of Madhyamik (10th level) marks will be considered.

    + Documents required to be uploaded at the time of Application

    All necessary documents must be in readable form are required to be uploaded online during submission of Application Form.
    • ID card: issued by Govt. authority.
    • Proof of age: Admit or Certificate of Madhyamik or equivalent examination.
    • Proof of Marks: Mark sheet of HS/or equivalent examination (10+2) and Mark sheet of Madhyamik/or equivalent examination 10th level.
    • Certificate of Reserve category (if applicable): SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B certificate issued by Govt. authority.
    • Person with Disability Certificate (if applicable): PWD certificate issued by Govt. authority.
    • Meritorious Sports persons: Certificates (only State- level position holder and National- level participant certificate issued by competent authority will be considered).

    + Few Important Modalities of Admission Process

    • The admission process will be entirely online and according to merit. Merit list will be published only on the basis of result of qualifying examinations. On the basis of Data abstracted from successful applicants, provisional merit list and all merit list will be published on specified date and admission will be made according to merit list.
    • Prospective students will not be called for counselling or verification of documents during admission process. No physical presence of Applicants will be required at the University during the process of admission or for any admission related issues until further directive is issued in this regard from competent authority.
    • The candidates eligible for admission will be informed directly in a suitable way through messages (sms) in the given Mobile / Cell number / email of the applicant, University Website and UG Admission Portal by the authority.
    • Admission Regulation of the University and Reservation policy as per Government rules will be followed.
    • Payment of fees for admission should be done only through the specified e-payment or designated banks and should not be deposited physically at the University.
    • All testimonials are must be in readable form are required to be uploaded online during application. Verification of documents if required, will be done only when the students report for the classes in due course of time. Admission will be cancelled if the documents are found not in conformity with the declaration in the forms submitted online. Proper action will be taken if any discrepancy is found.
