Coochbehar College, Cooch Behar affiliated to the UNIVERSITY OF NORTH BENGAL was established on 16th November 1970 at the end of Cooch Behar town with a campus area of 3.74 acres. The college got its recognition under 2f of UGC Act on 16-05-1980. Located at the fringe of Cooch Behar town, the college is housed in two imposing two storied buildings and a single storied building with a sprawling green play ground in the middle of the campus.
The college has introduced various subjects such as Geography, Sanskrit, Physical Education and Education of which Hons. option is available in all subjects except Physical Education and Education.From 2006 the college introduced B.B.A. course and from 2008 Science stream has been introduced with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Computer Science of which Hons. option is available in Mathematics. We completed our silver jubilee programme during 1995 with some colourful events and one international seminar was organized. Eminent academicians from different field are always involved with the college activity arena.
