According to the new regulations of the university of Burdwan,which came into effect during the 2005-06 academic year, the university examination for the 3-year degree course will be held in three parts (Parts I,II,&III),one at the end of every academic year.The mark division for these three parts is given below:

Sudents have the oppertunity to acuire computer Litracy and Training to various courses at the computer center in the college.computer labrotory provide the student with modern well eqiped Lab. The institute is envisaging to upgrade the system in the current year

The career oriented course is an add on course along with conventional degree of B.A Courses for which UGC has agreed to extend support have been aproved by the University of Burdwan. The Objective of the scheme is to introduce career and market oriented skill inhancing add on course that have utility for job, self employment and empowerments of the students at the same time to preserve innovate and promote the projection and dessimation of the art form of the Zone.

Admission Criteria

(Session 1st July to 30th June each year)

  • The Higher Secondary or equivalent

  • Admission to be made strictly on the basis of merit

  • Student seeking admission are required to pass at least four subject including language and excluding environmental science, being each paper of at least 100 marks

  • Admission in all B.A Hons will be made through counseling process

  • The no of seats for each Hons and for the General Course is given below at in brackets:

  • Admission in reserved seats will be allowed as per Govt. Rules and only on the basis of the submission of original certificate (caste certificate etc.)

  • Claims for the admission will be forfeited after the date of expiry of the Admission /merit list

  • The college reserve the right of not admitting an applicant to any class or not allowing him/her a particular combination or subject

Rules of Fees

  • A student’s name is liable to be struck of the roll on his failure to pay tuition fee for three consecutive month at a time

  • Re-Admission fees for the next higher class must be paid by the student within the prescribed date to be notified

  • Student of each year (Part I, II &III) shall have to clear all their dues before the commencement of the annual examination.

  • Student are to pay the following fines:
    • Late return of library books
    • For duplicate ID(identity Card)
    • Damage of Laboratory equipments due to mishandling.

    There are One unit of NSS in the College under the supervision of NSS Officer Sri. Goutam Mandal under whom there are Five adopted villages. The most highlighted area among the multifarious activities undertaken by the NSS is the Social Work / Community Service in the adopted villages with active co-operation of local self-government bodies. The NSS units of the College undertaken half-yearly camps with different service programmes i.e. Literacy Camps, Workshop on Health & Environmental Awareness, Blood Donation Camp, Pulse Polio immunisation, and seminars on Plantation & Afforestation, Drug Addiction etc.

    The sports and Games fecilities at this campus make the student attend physical growdth and sport man spirit. The college has seperate court for major games and atheletics. Infra college and inter college matches give the students ample opertunity to develop their talent and skill Annual sports meet and Inter Class turnament are organized by the student union. Girls and boys student have common room facilities in indoor games like badminton,chess carom extra.

The Netaji Subhash Ashram Mahavidyalaya Suisa, Purulia is a novel institute of the district in the field of higher education and it occupies a unique position in education in the state. It offers a range of degrees at under graduate level. The institute was the first to introduced chhou dance and mask making as add-on course sponsored by UGC.Our mission is to make our institution a dynamic entity and a distinct,socialy responsible institution.

Though the college is in its infancy stage, it has built up an atmosphere congenial to the spread of education & conducive to the free development of human values. It must be admitted that the college has a long way to go before it can provide the students & the members of the teaching & non-teaching staff with all the facilities required by their. Yet under the heaviest limitation the college has been able to inculcate discipline among the students & the spirit of selfless devotion amongst all its employee. The college is trying hard to disperse the darkness of illiteracy particularly female illiteracy like a tiny camp from the poor masses of the regions.

N.S.A Mahavidyalaya, the abode of peace is located at a distance of 85 Km from Purulia, the district head quarters and at a distance of 410 km away from Kolkata and 250 km away from Burdwan. College is located adjacent to Suisa railway station and Bus-stand.
