Till date most of the students of the college are first generation learners from BPL income group. The mission of the college is to enlighten these young unprivileged minds and empower them with knowledge to face the ever changing and challenging modern day society. To achieve this mission equal emphasis is placed on both academics and co-curricular activities. In 2013 the NSS unit was started in the college. Emphasis is also laid on value based education as it is the only means that can unite human beings in the present society which is torn by disquiet, disorder and disintegration.
