    • Online Application begins for B.A. in Mass Communication (Honours) from 17.04.2023

    • Mode of Admission Test: Internet Based Test (IBT) will be conducted.
      Minimum System Requirements for Internet Based Admission Test Windows 7 or above, 2 GB RAM or above, Core 2 Duo or above, 64-bit, 20 GB Free HDD Space in ‘C’ drive, Single plug and play colour Web Camera with proper driver installed and working. In case of laptop, inbuilt web camera should be activated. Stable Internet connection will be required.

    + Important Information

    • No candidate shall be eligible for admission after a lapse of more than three years from the year of passing the previous qualifying examination. The year of admission will not be taken into account while calculating 3 years from the year of passing the previous qualifying examination.
    • A student must have studied and passed in English in the +2 level (Excluding the foreign students for whom there is a separate set of rules).
    • Aggregate is calculated with four subjects at +2 level including the compulsory subjects as indicated in the eligibility criteria for application and the subjects having the maximum marks from the rest of the subjects (candidates must not include a subject which is among “subjects must not be included” list mentioned here in).
    • For B.A (Hons.) in Mass Communication a candidate can complete the online application procedure before the publication of +2 level Board results. Candidate will be selected provisionally for admission on the basis of the marks of Admission Test. However, for the confirmation of final admission the student must pass Plus Two examination conducted by a recognised Board/Council in India and obtain minimum of 45% marks in the aggregate and also minimum 45% marks in each of the four subjects (as mentioned in the course wise eligibility criteria) included in the aggregate calculation, failing which the selection/provisional admission of the student will be cancelled.
    • For B.A. (Hons.) in Mass Communication the final Plus Two result must be submitted to the University at the time of admission or before the commencement of the classes, till then the admission will remain provisional. If a candidate is selected and/or provisionally admitted (on the basis of the marks of Admission Test but fails to fulfil the admission criteria (as mentioned here in), the candidate will not be eligible for admission, or the provisional admission (if admitted provisionally) will be cancelled. The paid fees will be refunded.
    • The following subjects must not be included in the calculation of aggregate:
    • Every applicant must fulfil the eligibility criteria as laid down for each course.
    • The student must pass Plus Two examination conducted by a recognised Board/Council in India and obtain minimum of 45% marks in the aggregate for application/ final admission.
    • The student must have obtained minimum 45% marks in each of the 4 subjects included in the aggregate calculation for application/ final admission.
    • Marks in all subjects indicated in the plus 2 level mark sheet must be entered in the application form.
    • Students passing the GCE examination of the UK are eligible for admission only if they have completed “O” Level Examination (Minimum five passes) and completed ‘A’ Level (with minimum three passes) and English at “AS” Level. Such candidates must have completed and passed the “A” level examination at the time of application. Candidates with projected mark sheets are not eligible.
    • Candidates who have completed the Class 12 (or equivalent) examination outside India or from a Board not recognised in India, should produce a certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) to the effect that the examination they have passed is equivalent to the Class 12 Agriculture All Dance Courses All Music Courses All Shorthand Courses All Typographic Courses All Vocational Courses Art/Fine Arts Electricity/Electrical Courses Environmental Studies/Science/Education Fashion Studies Floriculture Fabric Study Fashion Designing Heritage Craft Home Science Gen. Foundation Course Health Education Salesmanship Security Painting Physical Education Classical Languages Modern Foreign Languages SUPW Work Experience/Education KNOW TRAD & PRAC. OFFCE PROC.& PRAC. SECY.PRAC & ACCNTG OFF. COMMUNICATION Examination. Candidates having degree with CGPA/GPA/DGPA etc. must have the equivalent percentage as prescribed in the eligibility criteria laid down for each course.
    • Students from foreign countries need to produce their English Proficiency certificate (TOEFL, IELTS) if the instruction of study in the qualifying examination is not in English medium at the time of admission.

    RESERVATION for EWS

    • RESERVATION for EWS (Economically Weaker Sections): A maximum 10% of the total seats for each course are reserved for EWS category. This provision is made as per the government guidelines. The candidate/s who opt for this category will be required to upload the EWS certificate issued by the competent authority. Without the certificate the application will be cancelled. Candidates are requested to check the detailed government notification before opting to apply for this category.

    • The following types of scholarship are offered to the Undergraduate and Postgraduate students:
    • Loyola Scholarship (Full Waiver of Tuition Fees from 2nd Semester) – for all UG & PG students except MBA.
    • Britto Scholarship (Half Waiver of Tuition Fees from 2nd Semester) – for all UG & PG students except MBA.
    • Nihil Ultra Scholarship (Full Waiver of Tuition Fees from 1st Semester) – for only UG students up to 5 students from each course.
